Dr. DONG ETCHIKE Alex Bruno is a Lecturer in the Department of Plant Biology, Faculty of Sciences, University of Dschang. He completed his primary and secondary education in Garoua, Northern Cameroon, and earned his degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Ngaoundéré. A trained botanist, his research focuses on Agroecology and tropical Agroforestry, with emphasis on ecosystem services like carbon stock, biodiversity conservation, food security, and vegetation dynamics. As a consultant in monitoring tropical vegetation, he is dedicated to studying land use changes under Climate Change. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship within the “Applied Research in Ecology and Social Sciences of Central African Forest Ecosystems (RESSAC)” program at the Department of Forestry, FASA, University of Dschang. This EU-funded project, managed by CIFOR and ICRAF, analyzed how cocoa, rubber, coffee, and oil palm-based agroforestry systems support biodiversity conservation around forest concessions in Southern Cameroon.
