Dr. Carlos Ernesto Luquez GaitanBorn in Nicaragua on November 14, 1991, he completed his undergraduate studies in 2013. He then completed his master's degree at the Autonomous University of Chapingo as an IICA-CONACyT fellow, completing his studies in 2016. He continued his doctoral studies at the same university in 2020. His research focuses on sustainable economic development, public policies, international competitiveness, and global agricultural econometrics. He received a mention in the 2023 Ernest Feder Award and is currently a research professor at the Autonomous University of Chapingo, where he coordinates the Agricultural Economics Engineering program. He also heads the postgraduate program at the Polytechnic University of Texcoco and is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNII Level 1).
