Mbilari Badawi Mshelia worked with National Institute for Fresh Water Fisheries Research from 2002 to 2010. I later got employment with University of Maiduguri, Nigeria from 2010 to 2024. In 2024, Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi, Nigeria was established and I got employment there to established a Department of Fisheries and also lecture and carry out Research in the University
