Washaya Soul is a Chairperson at Great Zimbabwe University, Department of Livestock, Wildlife and Fisheries in Masvingo, Zimbabwe. With expertise in Animal Science, I have contributed significantly to animal nutrition and crossbreeding of indigenous breeds raised under low-input systems. My research interests include dairy and growth physiology, metabolomics, nutrition, epigenetics, morphometric traits, reproductive physiology and animal health. I have been awarded a National Research Foundation (NRF) grant in South Africa. Currently, I lead and contribute to the Smart Poultry Project, funded by the Research Council of Zimbabwe (RCZ) in collaboration with ACTS. My mission is to drive innovation in sustainable livestock systems that balance productivity with environmental stewardship
