Prof. António José Gonçalves Fernandes is a Coordinating Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB), where he leads the Department of Social and Exact Sciences at the School of Agriculture. He also collaborates with IPB’s School of Health and the School of Technology and Management in both teaching and research. He holds a degree in Agribusiness Management (1993) and a PhD in Management (2006) from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), and a Master’s in Management (1999) from the University of Beira Interior. His academic and professional focus lies in economics and management. He has been actively involved in three PRODER – Cooperation for Innovation projects, aimed at developing innovative food products in collaboration with regional enterprises.
